Aside from Spicy Hunan Potato, Sautéed Pork with Chili Pepper is another classic Hunan dish.
Sautéed Pork with Chili Pepper
Ingredients:
250g streaky pork
1-2 red chili pepper
1-2 green chili pepper
1 spring onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
5g ginger
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp cooking wine
1/2 tsp salt
cooking oil
- Cut the streaky pork, red and green chili pepper, ginger and garlic into slices. Cut the spring onion into section about 3 cm long.
- Heat up a wok with 2 tbsp of cooking oil over strong heat. When the oil is hot, put the streaky pork slices in to stir-fry. Keep frying until there is fat coming out. Add light and dark soy sauce, cooking wine, mix well.
- Push the pork slices to one side of the wok, put the spring onion, ginger and garlic in to stir-fry until they release aromas. Mix them with pork, add red and green chili pepper, stir for 2 minutes, add salt, mix well. Serve with rice.
